In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and refining innovative products that balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and Sales, to bring products from concept through production while maintaining design integrity and user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute design concepts that align with Vari's brand, product strategy, and user needsCreate sketches, renderings, and 3D models to visualize design intentCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of designsConduct material and process research to support innovative and sustainable design solutionsTranslate design concepts into detailed specifications and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Participate in product prototyping, testing, and iterative refinementMaintain awareness of industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologiesResearch design trends, materials, finishes, and emerging technologies relevant to workplace furnitureSupport cost-engineering and value-analysis efforts to ensure products meet margin targets without compromising qualityContribute to a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field3+ years of experience in product or industrial design (consumer goods, contract or office furniture, electronics, or related industry preferred)Proficiency in design tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Fusion 360Strong visualization and sketching skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectivelyUnderstanding of manufacturing processes (panel processing, sheet metal, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)Excellent sense of form, color, materials, and ergonomicsStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentPortfolio showcasing a range of design projects from concept to productionPreferred SkillsExperience with user-centered design and usability testingKnowledge of sustainability and circular design principlesFamiliarity with design thinking methodologiesExperience working in an agile product development environmentWhy Vari:State of the art On-site Gym, spa-like locker room, and Chair Massage PodEnhanced paternity / maternity / Adoption programs401k and profit-sharing planPersonal time off / Volunteer time offTeam building events on and off siteMentoring and career developmentEducation reimbursementWellness program and insurance premium discountsAt-home work set-up
