Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Shepherdsville, KYShift Hours: First Shift | Full-TimeAbout the RoleOur client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, improve processes, and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing of assemblies and end products. This role will play a key part in fixture design, process optimization, ergonomics, and safety compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support for the design and manufacturing of fixtures, machines, and toolsConduct time studies and evaluate equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processesImprove ergonomics, mistake-proofing, and overall ease of assemblyPartner with EHS to ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standardsAssist with Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk mitigationInvestigate accidents and support implementation of corrective actionsConduct plant safety audits and recommend process improvementsReview new equipment and machinery for safety and compliance standardsMonitor environmental conditions (noise, dust, fumes, etc.) and ensure safe exposure levelsSupport ISO 14001 and quality/environmental management systemsCollaborate with Quality to ensure proper in-process inspection methodsQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in automotive or assembly environmentsKnowledge of ergonomics, safety standards, and OSHA regulationsProficiency with AutoCAD and standard computer applications (Excel, Word, databases)Experience with FMEA, process improvement, and time studiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and safety teamsRecruiter Notes (Internal Use)Automotive / seat assembly experience is a big plusMust be hands-on - not just design-focusedLook for candidates with fixtures + ergonomics + safety exposureFMEA and OSHA knowledge are key differentiatorsTarget candidates from Tier 1 manufacturing environments
