Logistics Specialist

Superior Plus Propane has a career opportunity for a Logistics Specialist who would become responsible for the efficient distribution of liquid products within the New England region. This includes routing and supporting delivery drivers, maintaining systems data, maintaining effective delivery forecasting, and reporting distribution metrics to superiors. As a Logistics Specialist, you will work closely with field operations to improve efficiencies with deliveries, as well as resource and demand planning. This is a hybrid position with office hours required in the Windham, ME location. Primary Duties include: Build routes for drivers in centrally supported locations while adhering to the distribution standard operating procedures. Manage forecasting variables to determine optimal delivery window Determine the most efficient delivery methods and schedules to meet customer needs Make recommendations to field operations regarding drivers and trucks needed weekly, to maximize fill rates and increase efficiencies Provide reporting on previous day’s routes to assist field operations with adherence to the process, improving driver efficiency, ultimately resulting in improved customer experience. Maintain regular and professional communication with field operations staff and customers.
