Data Center Engineering Operations Technician III (DCEO III)Location: Covington, GARate: $30/hourAbout the Role:Brooksource is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician III (DCEO III) to support the operation and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure in Covington, GA. This role is ideal for an experienced facilities technician with a strong electrical or mechanical background who enjoys working in a highly technical, mission-critical environment. As a DCEO III, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and ensuring the continuous operation of essential building systems that support data center uptime.What You'll Do:Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure maximum facility uptime.Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), responding to alarms and troubleshooting equipment issues.Diagnose, repair, and perform root cause analysis on critical infrastructure including electrical distribution, backup power, cooling, and mechanical systems.Support rack installation, decommissioning activities, and change management documentation while maintaining operational standards.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to safely execute maintenance activities and facility improvement projects.Maintain detailed maintenance records, technical documentation, and operating procedures.Participate in rotating shifts, on-call responsibilities, and emergency response activities as required.What You Bring:2+ years of experience supporting critical facilities, industrial environments, data centers, or commercial electrical/mechanical systems.Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), or similar facility monitoring platforms.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and operating procedures.Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems such as UPS systems, switchgear, generators, HVAC, cooling systems, or power distribution.Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
