Role Description This is an on-site, part-time role for an Optometric Assistant located in San Francisco, CA. The Optometric Assistant will be responsible for assisting optometrists during patient examinations, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service. Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient records, answering inquiries, offering guidance on eyewear selection, and ensuring that equipment and examination areas are clean and well-organized. The Optometric Assistant may also assist with patient education and training on eyewear use or contact lens care. Qualifications Knowledge of Optometry and ability to support optometrists during patient examinationsStrong Interpersonal Skills and excellent Customer Service abilities to engage with patients professionally and courteouslyExperience with Appointment Scheduling and managing patient records efficientlyAbility to assist in Training patients on eyewear or contact lens careAttention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentVerify insurance benefits and claims processingAvailability to work part-time on-site in San Francisco, CAPrevious experience in a healthcare or optometric setting is a plus
