As a Solutions Architect, you will be part of a world-class team that will lead our business at Solidigm.Solidigm is seeking a Solutions Architecture Intern focused on finding and exploring new opportunities and solutions for our data center SSDs. This high-profile, internship role is responsible for helping to define solutions that showcase Solidigm SSDs for data center workloads and requires staying at the forefront of data center trends in storage and memory technologies in hyperscale, cloud, and IT software.In this role you will:Work with the world's largest enterprise and cloud IT companies to help solve complex IT problems and drive infrastructure transformationDefine the best fit solutions opportunity for Solidigm’s SSDs and prove the value of these solutions in practicePerform hands on lab work and engage in direct customer interaction as well as create marketing collaterals and present to senior management.Stand-up and test target workloads.Work closely with Content Delivery Network, Hyperconverged Infrastructure/Software-Defined Storage, and Enterprise storage providers to unlock Solidigm technology valueConnect key technical solutions into industry verticals, such as Cloud Service Providers, Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy, and moreDevelop novel solution architectures, recommend new product/feature development, recommend improvements to existing software and new software development needs, and prototype proof of concept designsDevelop internal proof of concepts work targeted for application acceleration using Solidigm SSDs and other supporting technologies.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in related field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer ScienceDetailed knowledge of I/O and memory / storage related software stacks, drivers, file system and kernel performance utilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and influencing skillsDirect experience configuring and testing server and/or storage systemsExperience running industry benchmarking tools on servers and/or storage systemsPreferred Requirements:Deep understanding of the data center SSD and HDD products, technologies, market, and trendsDirect experience implementing IT data center solutions such as database, big data, analytics, software defined storage systems, converged and hyperconverged systems, performance sensitive applications, and/or open source infrastructure solutionsUnderstanding of AI data pipeline and typical customer workloadsUnderstanding of Hyperconverged Infrastructure, experience with VMware vSAN, Nutanix and Azure Stack HCIUnderstanding of Content Delivery Networks architecture, experience working with CDN providersUnderstanding of modern data center architecture and distributed storage systems such as HDFS, BeeGFS, Ceph, MinIO, Lustre, GlusterFS, SeaweedFS, ZFSExperience with industry standard benchmarks like TPC*, Stackm3, RocksDB and how they relate to storageCompetence in related performance technologies such as DPDK, SPDK, PMDKNetwork and kernel tuning and optimizationAdditional InformationThe compensation range for this role is $29.33 - $32 hourly. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.This internship is based out of Rancho Cordova, California (outside of Sacramento) and would primarily be onsite most hours, though some hours may be completed remotely on a week-by-week basis.This internship will last for 1 year. The intern will work 20 hours per week during typical academic periods and up to 40h per week during breaks/periods off from coursework.
