Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer for a 12+ month contract (extension and conversion to perm currently on the table). *** Must be U.S. Citizen - NO C2Cor 3rd party candidates will be considered for this role*** Location: REMOTE Type: Zscaler or Prima Access Experience/SASE - Must have 1 of the following certifications PCNSE and/or Zscaler (ZIA and ZPA professional level certification) Responsibilities: Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for existing environments, mentor lower-level engineers, and assume ownership and accountability in areas of recognized technical expertise. Perform high-level trouble identification, interpretation of standards, and implement resolution for internal network security problems or issues. Develop and maintain written procedures to maintain technical accuracy. Maintain a multitude of SASE vendor solutions across various environments. Support security projects dedicated to improving Cyber Defense Team or Client’s security posture. Verify and validate security notifications from both internal and external sources. Identify and resolve incidents that are not defined by (or deviate from) an existing incident response guide. Respond to, remediate, and document network security related alerts and issues not limited to dashboard alerts, tickets, emails, or phone calls. Participate in on-call rotation Able to work other shifts as needed based on business requirements. Maintain security of the network by ensuring firewall rules meet company policy and configuring best practice security measures on devices. Idea Candidate: 8+ years to experience in Network Security Experience with large scale SASE Deployments Must have Zscaler or Prima Access experience Must have 1 of the following certifications PCNSE and/or Zscaler (ZIA and ZPA professional level certification) Additional Network Security Certs are a plus (CISSP, CISM, or CISA).
