This position will be Full-Time from 7am to 4pm and Onsite in Hampton, VA.What You’ll DoAct as a process leader for machining, assembly, or other TE manufacturing processes, ensuring optimum levels for quality and outputServe as an expert in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and other manufacturing tooling and assembly techniquesOptimize and standardize machining/assembly processes within the manufacturing environmentAlign TE BU plants to meet TEOA requirements, roll out CoE and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs), and advise plants on tool and machine duplications, corrections, and improvementsDesign and develop manufacturing process platforms and automation platforms for new product developments and optimization of existing products in productionApply extensive knowledge of applicable TE systems (SAP, TLM, CAD, etc.)Support Product Development in optimizing tools for piece part production and selecting suitable manufacturing concepts based on planned quantities, quality requirements, and manufacturing locationInterface between engineering and manufacturing/production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp-upSupport research and development teams in producing sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypesWhat You'll NeedRequired:Basic knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function (e.g., CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools)Basic awareness of general engineering tools such as LEAN, 6-sigma, DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.Preferred:Experience running individual small projects or project tasks, such as creating/modifying detailed drawings or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches, or notesFamiliarity with detailed engineering tools and processes for manufacturing optimizationPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorMust be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in personSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Reasonable accommodation statementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.$40.00 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
