Electrical Engineer

Overview $85,000 - $115,000 base salary. United States / Canada travel role (50% travel required). The employer specialises in the automation and material handling industry, delivering advanced robotic and warehouse automation solutions for leading integrators across North America. This role is suitable for a hands-on, solutions-focused Electrical Engineer focused on cutting-edge automation projects and on-site commissioning experience. Responsibilities Create and modify electrical schematics, network diagrams, and as-built documentation. Support commissioning activities, Site Acceptance Testing, and First Power Up activities on-site. Design control algorithms and safety systems for automation projects. Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and processes. Contribute to SOPs, manuals, risk assessments, and test plans. Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, and NFPA79 standards. Support vendor sourcing and electrical cabinet/component selection. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering. Experience within electrical engineering and automation controls. Knowledge of monitoring systems, safety scanners, and safety controllers. Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. Experience using 2D CAD software for electrical schematics; 3D CAD experience is beneficial. Knowledge of UL508A, NEC, and NFPA79 standards. Experience with ePlan or AutoCAD Electrical would be advantageous. Willingness to travel up to 50% across the United States and Canada.
