Director, Data Engineering and Analytics

Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics Full Time, Direct Hire, W2 only Hybrid onsite in Plano, TXCDW is seeking a hands-on Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics to lead modernization of enterprise reporting, integrations, and cloud data architecture. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical execution in a lean, high-impact environment.Responsibilities• Lead enterprise data platform and analytics strategy • Modernize legacy SSIS/SSRS reporting and integrations • Drive migration to Power BI and governed semantic models • Design scalable cloud-based data pipelines and integration patterns • Optimize SQL workloads and enterprise reporting performance • Establish governance, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment standards • Deliver executive dashboards and operational reporting • Manage vendor partners and support a small internal teamRequired Experience• 8+ years in data engineering, BI, and enterprise integrations • Strong SQL expertise including optimization and stored procedure refactoring • Experience with SSIS, SSRS modernization, and Power BI • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, and Azure • Strong understanding of enterprise reporting, governance, and analytics architecture • Proven success in hands-on leadership roles within lean teamsPreferred Skills• Fabric Warehouse/Lakehouse architecture • Power BI data modeling and DAX • API-first integration architecture • Azure security, networking, and identity fundamentals
