We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.Learn more about IR Centers here: https://youtu.be/YhLFlp789hgJob Type: Full-time, Monday through FridayLocation: 251 National Harbor Blvd Suite 200, Oxon Hill, MD 20745As a Surgical Technologist (IR Scrub Tech) at Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic, you will assist in preparing patients and procedure rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist physicians during procedures by passing instruments, and help with patient positioning and transfers.Qualifications:High school diplomaValid BLS CertificationSurgical technologist / Scrub Tech experience: 2 yearsARRT // CST Certification (Preferred)Responsibilities:Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology proceduresReviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure roomsAssists with patient prep, transfers, and positioningInputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile techniqueComplies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray imagesManages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposalMay serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveysEnsures effective communication with physiciansAssists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codesSkills:Proven working experience as a surgical technologistProficient in maintaining a sterile fieldExperienced in scrubbing in for surgical proceduresKnowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulationsWorking knowledge of interventional equipmentWorking conditions:Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases. Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist in patient transfers up to 400 pounds. Standing in a protective apron for 60-90 minutes is required.
