Facilities Technician III Plymouth, MN - OnsiteOur client is seeking a Facilities Technician III who is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the organization's facilities, systems, or equipment. This person will:Ensure work is performed in a timely manner, and triage requests to prioritize the most critical repairsInspect and perform preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire/safety systemsMake repairs and coordinate the work of specialists when more complex repairs are neededSchedule maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions to organizational operations wherever possibleHandle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staffPossess solid working knowledge of subject matterHandle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staffProvide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate groupMay act as a leadWhat you will do:Comply with Company safety procedures at all timesSupport laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance requests involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacementPerform all scheduled maintenance as established in x5 (client's CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)), and provides input into new maintenance schedules as equipment/facilities are added or changedEnsure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all timesImplement corrective and preventative actions to reduce costs and improve reliabilityAnalyze, troubleshoot, and repair test rooms, test cells and facilitiesMaintain boiler(s) where applicableMaintain kitchen equipment such as ice makers, dishwashers, coolers, etcDirect and work alongside contractors, as neededSet up tables and chairs as well as conference room setupsMove and set up workstations/officesMaintain the facility's water softener systemSubmit purchase order requisitions for partsEnsure facilities comply with all environmental policies and proceduresAssist in activities related to internal and external environmental auditsRespond to emergencies and support after-hours facility needs and activities as requiredDemonstrate excellent customer service skillsMaintain building and grounds as neededObtain powered industrial truck certified training within a yearObtain refrigerant handling certifications in a timely mannerMaintain effective communications across all departmentsMonitor and operate the client's Building Management System (BMS).Utilize x5 for work order and PM (Preventative Maintenance) management.Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe mannerMinimum Qualifications:Two-year Associate degree in maintenance-related subject matter4+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certificationWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position#LI-JS2
