Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at HCA Healthcare, you'll play a vital role in providing vigilant, high-level care to patients transitioning from the ICU. You'll help patients get stronger, avoid complications, and take steps toward healing. You'll work closely with a skilled critical care team committed to improving lives every day.Your responsibilities will include:Providing hands-on care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), managing tubes and drains, and assisting with advanced monitoringMonitoring closely for changes in heart rate, oxygen levels, or neurological status and quickly alerting the team to support early treatmentKeeping clear and timely records to help the team work together and keep patients safeHelping patients and families understand their condition and feel supported as they navigate serious conditions and recovery stepsWorking closely with RNs, doctors, and specialists to help patients stabilize and move forward from intensive careWhat qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse or GVN PermitVocational or Associates Degree School GraduateMethodist Hospital Northeast is a 232 bed, full service hospital.
