Job Description:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Employment Type: PRNReports To:Registered Nurse (RN) or Nursing SupervisorJob Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care in a supportive and nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:-Resident Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treatments, and assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the RN or Nursing Supervisor. Monitor vital signs and implement care plans as directed.Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of residents' care, including medical records, progress notes, and care plans.Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families.Compliance: Adhere to all nursing home policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including infection control protocols.-Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed. Assist in the coordination of emergency care and evacuation plans.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the nursing and healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient care. Participate in shift handovers and team meetings.Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing professional development and training. Stay updated with best practices in geriatric nursing and long-term care.Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.Licensure: Current and valid LPN license in the state of Iowa.-Experience:Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting preferred.Skills: Strong clinical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
