Equipment Sales Representative
Brief DescriptionBigIron is hiring a full-time Equipment Sales Representative to sell auction services to farmers, ranchers, and landowners.This is a territory-based outside sales role. You will manage a defined local territory and are responsible for generating new business and growing revenue. You will spend most of your time meeting customers in person on farms, at shops, and within your local ag community.You are selling auction services, not equipment. Your role is to help customers market and sell their assets through BigIron’s online auction platform, including equipment tied to row crop and cattle operations.What Your Day Will Look Like Prospect for new customers through in-person visits, calls, and referrals Build relationships with farmers, landowners, dealers, and local ag businesses Evaluate equipment and recommend auction timing and strategy Secure signed consignment agreements Work with internal teams to list and market items Support customers through the auction process Manage and grow your assigned territory to drive revenueHow You Will Work Field-based, outside sales Selling directly to farmers, landowners, and local ag businesses Daily travel within your territory, home at night Work from a home office when not in the fieldCompensation And Employment Details Full-time employee Base salary: $50 to $75k based on experience and market knowledge Typical total earnings: $100,000 to $150,000+, based on sales performanceRequirements 3+ years of sales experience Proven ability to generate new business and build relationships Strong communication and follow-up skills Ability to work independently and manage a territory Comfortable working in a commission-based role Valid driver’s license and ability to travel dailyPreferred Experience Background in agriculture, equipment, or rural markets Experience working with row crop or cattle operations Existing relationships in the local ag community Experience in territory-based, face-to-face salesSummaryBigIron provides online auction services for farm equipment and real estate.
