Job Summary
The Supervisor, Radiology CAT Scan is responsible for supervising staff and assisting the Director with the administration of the CAT Scan department.

Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to
Participate in all manager responsibilities including but not limited to hiring, scheduling, coaching, training, performance management, employee engagement, and disciplinary actions
Works closely with the Director and/or assistant Director in establishing and revising policies and procedures.
Oversee and maintain a quality control and improvement program by establishing monitors, gathering information for the monitors and reporting their findings in staff and PI meetings
Oversee and maintain a quality control and improvement program for evaluating the quality of the images and exams. Correct deficiencies
Point of contact for the department during DNV surveys and hospital initiatives
Create weight and dose based protocols that are age specific and maintain them
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
+5 years of CAT Scan experience
+2 years of supervisory experience, leading people and/or processes, preferably in a hospital environment
Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations
Current AART registration. TMB for MRT required
BLS: Basic Life Skills Certification
Skills and Abilities
Able to exercise independent judgement, and prioritize workload
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work closely with senior leaders while developing a cohesive team focused on patient quality and satisfaction
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
Interacts with all ancillary departments, nursing units and the EC. Interacts with TTUHSC physicians and UMC Radiologists. Handles issues that relate to Cat Scan and the rest of the facility. Interacts with other Radiology departments and works closely with the management of those departments.
Physical Capabilities
Work requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Visual and auditory acuity required. Work is stressful and has emotional demands, at times
Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is subject to inside environmental changes that may include constant change in indoor temperatures.
