Job Summary / Responsibilities
Position Purpose
General Laborers assist Lighting Technicians in the installation of Sports Lighting systems on football, track, soccer, baseball, and other sports fields as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
Unload equipment, materials and tools and set up as assigned by Foreman.
Assist in underground construction work, installing poles and mounting devices.
Use hands and arms to manipulate tools, handles, and levers, and trench as needed.
Frequently lift from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.
Frequently and repeatedly bending and stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
Frequently walk on uneven and/or unpaved terrain.
Exert force to pull conduit for light installation.
Frequently climb steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles.
May operate heavy equipment and tools, as needed.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work is performed primarily in outdoor environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common driving and construction environment noises and visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents required. Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, push, pull, and/or drag heavier items and lift heavier items as needed with assistance. Sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time. Work in extreme weather temperatures – cold, heat, and/or temperature swings. Must be able to work at elevated levels up to 150 feet.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time, non-exempt position. Work reporting times vary by season, job site(s) and/or project completion timeline(s). Incumbent may be required to work long hours and be available after hours as needed to accomplish objectives and advance project work. This position requires traveling to job site(s) in various locations around the United States as assigned.
In area and out-of-area and overnight travel is required. To meet the travel requirements of this job, an employee must have the physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle for long enough to reach any area with reasonably short breaks. It also requires that the employee be able to fly as a passenger in an airplane as needed.
Qualifications / Skills
Education and Experience
Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal history background check, credit check, and/or fingerprinting.
Skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, and team lift heavier items
Ability to work at heights of up to 150 feet.
Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches, and learn to operate SkyTrak forklifts, Skid Steer loaders, Tuepen Lifts, Mini Excavators, and other equipment as needed.
