Business Analyst

Position Details:Job Title: Business Analyst – Project LeadLocation: Remote (Occasional quarterly site visits may be required)Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)Interview: One Round – Virtual (Camera On)Candidate Location Requirement:Candidates must reside within the Continental United States (Lower 48 States) and be comfortable working in the EST time zone. No South Carolina residency is required.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a Cerner Analyst for PowerChart implementation, supporting system configuration, testing, validation, and optimization.Perform Cerner PowerChart builds, including PowerNote, PowerForm, PowerPlan, ESH, and Dynamic Docs.Collaborate with clinical analysts to define current and future workflow processes and maintain project documentation.Lead the design, development, deployment, support, and maintenance of enterprise applications related to the EHR system.Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform problem diagnosis, resolution, and escalation when necessary.Participate in product release management, including test plan development, system validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination.Monitor system performance, identify data quality issues, and implement improvements to ensure data accuracy.Support interface troubleshooting, including FSI, ESI/ESO issues, and order linkage across bi-directional interfaces.Assist with system security, user account management, and permissions administration.Provide system user training and onboarding support for new staff.Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and knowledge management artifacts.Support system testing, production validation, and software lifecycle management activities.Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and federal guidelines such as NIST 800-53 and FISMA.Collaborate with program managers and IT teams to identify system improvements and workflow efficiencies.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience working with IT Healthcare Systems and application support.5+ years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst.5+ years of experience working with HL7 integration standards.5+ years of experience with Foreign Systems Integration (FSI).5+ years of experience with Cerner Olympus / Cerner Millennium platforms.5+ years of experience developing or compiling reports within healthcare systems.
