This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies.These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned.As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet companyobjectivesin the areas of performance, safety, and quality.Associates are expected tocomply withall corporate and site-specific policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPicking ResponsibilitiesThe picking functions include, but are not limited to, using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands. Associates must efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas.Associates will stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products asdeterminedby client requirements. All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.Quality Control ResponsibilitiesThe quality control functions include, but are not limited to, using theappropriate documentationto ensure that all products and orders are received,handledand shipped correctly. Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.Associates will stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products. All quality control functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.Safety, Housekeeping, and ComplianceAll Associatesare responsible forexecuting all safety protocols and willaccomplishall job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.Associatesare responsible forthe cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and arerequiredtomaintaina clean, neat, orderly work area andassistin security of the warehouse.Associates willcomply withall Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.Equipment OperationIn performing assigned duties, the equipment used can include, but is not limited to, a pallet jack.Associatesare responsible forthe upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.Associates will operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and follow prescribed work methods.MaintenancePerform orassistin building,groundsand equipment maintenance as assigned.OTHER DUTIESWork overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.Performs other duties asassigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneHours: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday to FridayMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderateCertificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional DesignationsNoneSKILLS,KNOWLEDGEAND ABILITIESComputer SkillsNoneLanguage SkillsEnglish (reading, writing, verbal)Mathematical SkillsBasic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.OtherStrong attention to detail accuracy andaccomplishjobtaskin a timely manner.Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pacedwork environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environmentCurrent or prior MHE certificationPHYSICAL DEMANDS OccasionallyHandling/Fingering, SittingFrequently BendingConstantly Walking and StandingAbility to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull 21-50 poundsReachaboveshoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employeerarely isexposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
