What You'll Do:
As the Staff Accountant, you will plan, manage, and perform day-to-day accounting activities, to ensure on time, accurate and error-free financial reporting to help support the organization and meet financial goals.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
Handles day-to-day AP, AR, and other accounting tasks to ensure timely financial reporting, aligned with the company's ongoing business goals and operational needs.
Performs and reviews accounting journal entries and records to ensure accuracy of financial data in the system.
Assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring all necessary journal entries, accruals and adjustments are made.
Prepares and reviews financial reports to meet compliance and internal financial reporting requirements.
Assists with the annual budgeting process, including gathering data and conducting analysis, to meet the department's goals and objectives.
Reviews inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy before inventory is adjusted.
Reconciles all bank statements and credit card accounts with system data, ensuring that discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Identifies and recommends opportunities for process improvements within the Accounting department, collaborating with the Controller to promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 1+ years related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Strong skills with Excel, Google Spreadsheets and QuickBooks online.
Experience with Mac System and Bill.com would be a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively via email and phone.
Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage daily accounting tasks efficiently and timely.
Highly process-oriented with attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Solid math and business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving capabilities to support project management, process improvements, and identify gaps with actionable solutions.
Customer-service oriented with a proactive, "want to learn" attitude, and strong collaborative mindset.
Committed to continuous improvement through research, analysis, and recommending process enhancements.
Dependable in handling confidential matters, working independently, and demonstrating integrity in all professional dealings.

Other Important Information:
Position Pay: Commensurate based on experience ($50,000 - $60,000)
Reports To: Controller
Core Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Exact hours will vary)
Typical Work Week: Monday to Friday; 40 hours/week on average
