PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

Job TitleThis position involves a range of duties critical to the security and operational integrity of the Air Force Material Command (AFMC).Key responsibilities include:Representing AFMC security staff as the command's lead technical security office in meetings with senior Department of Defense officials, Air Staff, Major Commands, Center-level staff, and other senior AFMC management.Planning, organizing, and overseeing the physical security, integrated defense, including the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS), Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS), Directed Energy, and Counter Rocket Artillery Mortar (C-RAM) programs and activities of AFMC Security Forces, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting Air Force Material Command needs.Establishing, revising, or reviewing policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the command staff and subordinate SF organizations falling under AFMC control as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvement, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.Responsible for the overall planning, implementation, oversight, and centralized control of a coordinated AFMC force protection, antiterrorism, and C-RAM (when applicable) command program.May be required to support the Crisis Action Team (CAT) and/or the Continuity of Operations (COOP) activities.
