Data runs on STACK.PositionSTACK is seeking a Procurement Manager – Operations Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and vendor management initiatives that support the ongoing operations of STACK’s data center portfolio across North America. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, this role will oversee the procurement of operational goods and services — including purchasing cards, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, facility management services, spare parts, and operational support contracts.This role is critical in ensuring operational continuity, reliability, and cost efficiency across all active data centers. The Procurement Manager will develop and execute strategies that drive value, enhance supplier performance, and align with STACK’s broader operational and financial goals.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is a procurement professional with a strong background in operations sourcing, vendor management, and service-level performance, capable of balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Execute procurement strategies focused on operational categories such as MRO, facilities maintenance, consumables, logistics, and services that support uptime and reliability.Partner with Operations and Finance teams to understand ongoing and forecasted needs, ensuring continuity of supply and contract alignment with operational requirements.Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFI/RFP management, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and award recommendations.Build and maintain strong relationships with critical operational vendors, including service providers, equipment suppliers, and logistics partners, to improve responsiveness and performance.Conduct cost modeling, spend analysis, and total cost of ownership assessments to identify savings opportunities and improve lifecycle value of operational assets.Oversee purchase order (PO) management, from requisition through delivery and closeout, ensuring timely fulfillment and compliance with corporate standards.Implement supplier performance metrics (KPIs) and lead regular business reviews to ensure adherence to SLAs, cost targets, and quality benchmarks.Collaborate with Finance and Operations leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and spend optimization initiatives.Drive process improvement and system enhancements that streamline operational procurement activities and improve transparency across the organization.Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement team members involved in operational sourcing and supplier management.Hire and manage Sourcing Analysts to support operations.Build comprehensive purchasing card process for end to end finance management of vendor expenditures.Review and develop Consulting contract guidelines and review current Consulting engagements/contracts.The DetailsLocation: Denver, CO or Fully RemoteTravel: 10%-20%Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United StatesScreening: Must pass comprehensive background screeningMust-have QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or a related field.Minimum of 4+ years’ Procurement experience requiredData Center Operations experience a plusProficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointThis Might Be Right For You IfYou are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You do not get flustered easily.
