Field Technician - Rental Store

The Rental Store Field Technician is responsible for performing service and repair work on equipment while working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to accurately evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair earthmoving equipment in the field and in shop environments. The Field Technician must successfully complete on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning. Successful candidates demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork, a commitment to customer service, and a dedication to providing efficient, effective solutions.Advancement in Technician classification is based on attitude, skill development, and overall job performance.Essential Responsibilities & ExpectationsAdheres to and follows all applicable and required safety standards and procedures.Plans and performs minor repairs using correct tools and procedures.Performs the following tasks on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; minor adjustments as needed for service.Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshootingDemonstrates proper use of service information systemsOrders and return parts for assigned jobs in timely mannerTest and adjust components for optimal performanceWorks independently in the field as requiredMust have a valid driver's license to be eligible for hire.Uphold the Core Values of Safe and Secure, Stronger Together, People of Integrity, and Driven to Serve. Basic computer skills required.Job TrainingArea specific technical trainingOSHA and MSHA required training.Vendor technical sites (Infocast, Liftnet, SIMSi, etc.)Safety SummaryWorking ConditionsWork typically normally performed in a Service Department shop or on location at customer job sites.
