Forklift OperatorPROMAN Staffing JOLIET, IL, United States of America 2m agoAn Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving product from one location to another in the warehouse. Essential duties and responsibilities include:Maneuver clamp equipment safely in busy warehouse environmentUnload deliveries and relocating the goods to designated areasSafely stack and unstack large quantities of goods on to palletsRegularly checking equipment for faults or damagesComply with department and distribution center standard operating proceduresExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerPerform other duties as assignedSkills Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. The ability to add, subtract, and multiply is required, as well as to effectively operate basic computer and warehouse software systems. Candidates for this position must pass a clamp operating exam.Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience working in a team oriented environmentAt least 2-3 years of experience in clamp operatingRadio Frequency scanner gun experience requiredPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
