Process Engineer
Overview Position: Process Owner and Systems Lead (Process Engineer) – Real
Location: On-site, New Jersey
Contract Duration: 12 months (initial)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (40 hours/week)
Base pay range: $70.00/hr - $100.00/hr. Rate: $75-$100/hour (commensurate with experience). Target Start Date: September 1, 2025.
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Process Owner and Systems Lead to support a high-impact pharmaceutical project focused on potent waste and temperature control systems. This role serves as a technical SME, managing system design, vendor coordination, FAT execution, and lifecycle support.
Responsibilities Act as system owner and SME for potent waste tanks, containment systems, and temperature control units.
Lead design, implementation, and lifecycle management of tanks, tank waste, and temperature control systems.
Serve as the primary technical interface between vendors, internal stakeholders, and end users.
Manage vendors including Budzar, IMEC, and tank suppliers.
Oversee FAT preparation, installation, and startup activities.
Review and support PI&Ds, submittals, and protocol development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: automation, safety, quality, facilities, utilities, and EPCMs.
Support commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities including protocol writing and documentation (e.g., Kneat).
Ensure engineering documentation aligns with site infrastructure and regulatory standards.
Participate in design reviews, construction support, and protocol development.
Provide support to additional systems as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Proven experience in vendor management and system ownership in GMP environments.
Familiarity with tank systems and temperature control technologies (e.g., Budzar).
Experience in high-temperature range environments and C&Q activities.
Strong background in design reviews, equipment installation, and end-user interaction.
Must be able to work on-site in NJ.
