Lead CDL Delivery Driver

Job DutiesTrains newly hired employees and other personnel as assignedRuns a delivery route and performs delivery driver duties as requiredAssists the supervisor in monitoring delivery operations and employee performanceAssists the supervisor in ensuring that safety, quality and performance/productivity and customer experience standards are met by conducting and submitting delivery surveys.Acts as a resource for other delivery drivers, assisting with questions concerning vehicle and other equipment operation, delivery processes, routing, etc.Performs daily routing dutiesResponds to and resolves customer complaints as assignedAssists in bi-weekly processing of payroll by accurately updating the department pay record and reviewing before submissionOperates company vehicles safely, courteously and obeys all traffic regulationsAssists delivery supervisor in setting goals, including those relating to operational performance, safety and regulatory standardsMaintains favorable working relationships with employees and customers to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environmentIdentifies process improvement opportunities and assists in the implementation of changes in partnership with members of leadershipEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredSome college education preferredValid Class A CD and DOT medical card required3+ years experience as a delivery driver preferredPrevious experience in warehousing and/or distribution preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated adherence to Eagle Rock Rotation Policy and other delivery-related policies and proceduresDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and understand retailers and co-workers.Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfort working independently, exercising sound judgment and take initiative.Effectively manages multiple tasks and prioritiesCommitment to working safely and maintaining a fun and friendly work environmentUnderstands and carefully follows company policies and proceduresWillingly listens and demonstrates an ability to effectively address and resolve conflictDedication to living out Eagle Rocks values of Family, Loyalty, Community and Teamwork when youre at workPhysical Demands and RequirementsRegular standing, walking, bending, reaching and twisting for shifts lasting 8+ hoursLifting, pushing and pulling of loads up to approximately 170 lbs. with no assistanceLifting, pushing and pulling of loads of approximately 300 lbs. with assistance and/or equipmentMobility and dexterity to safely navigate ramps and stairs and to safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and wheelersTolerance for working in refrigerated areas of the warehouseEnvironmental Conditions and Temperament* Works indoors in retail establishments and warehouse environments (including coolers)* Works outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbout UsThe history of Eagle Rock Distributing Company goes all the way back the Prohibition Era, selling non-alcoholic beer and Canada Dry Ginger Ale.
