The ideal candidate will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, radiation safety, and procedural efficiency. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment in accordance with radiation safety standards.Scrub and circulate during invasive cardiovascular procedures.Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, catheters, guidewires, and procedural equipment.Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and promptly recognize changes requiring intervention.Operate hemodynamic monitoring systems and accurately document procedural events.Perform pressure monitoring, EKG interpretation, and assist with contrast administration as directed.Maintain compliance with infection prevention and radiation safety protocols.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care.Assist with patient positioning, transportation, and post-procedure care as needed.Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab, Special Procedures, or Diagnostic Radiology experience.Current ARRT (R) certification required.Active Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Radiologic License required.Current BLS (AHA) certification required.Current ACLS (AHA) certification required.RCIS, RCES, or CVI certification preferred.Required SkillsProficiency with fluoroscopy and cardiac catheterization equipment.Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, pressure monitoring, and EKG interpretation.Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety practices.Experience documenting procedures using hemodynamic monitoring systems.Ability to work independently while exercising sound clinical judgment.Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position patients.Physical RequirementsAbility to perform medium physical work.Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning during procedures.Required CredentialsActive Ohio Radiologic License (ODH)ARRT (R)BLS (AHA)ACLS (AHA)Preferred QualificationsRCIS, RCES, or CVI certification.Previous experience in a high-volume Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Lab.Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems and invasive cardiovascular procedures.About Encode INC At Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
