STS Line Maintenance is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Phoenix, Arizona.STS Line Maintenance is seeking experienced Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support and grow our line maintenance station in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, the Lead A&P Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations, helps manage the workforce, and ensures customer maintenance requirements are met with safe, reliable, and high-quality service.Position OverviewThe Lead A&P Mechanic reports directly to the Station Manager and works closely with airlines, flight crews, Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, and station personnel. This position supports hands-on line maintenance operations while helping ensure technicians have the direction and support needed to meet customer requirements.Job ResponsibilitiesHelp manage the workforce to ensure required maintenance needs are met in support of customer requirementsWork closely with field airlines, flight crews, Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, and station leadershipEnsure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practicesInspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipmentMaintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all maintenance activitiesAdjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test resultsFollow maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentationUse precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and determine repair or replacement needsPerform additional duties as required to support station operationsWork outdoors and in inclement weather as requiredPerform work on B737NG/MAX, A320 family, E145, E170, and E175 aircraftQualificationsCurrent and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License requiredNo history of A&P infractionsRecent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft considered a plusMust own a standard set of line maintenance toolsCalibrated and specialty tooling will be providedMinimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Lead Technician in a line maintenance environment working on commercial and/or large regional aircraftMinimum of 5 years of previous experience working on commercial and large regional aircraftSelf-motivated with a positive attitudeAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodationsAbility to pass background check, drug and alcohol test, and Customs and Border Patrol clearanceBasic to mid-level computer and organizational skillsExperience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment highly desiredInspection Authorization License is a plusAbility to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specificationsAbility to troubleshoot and repair aircraft airframe and engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systemsFlexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredStrong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethicCompensationRate of pay is determined by previous experienceYearly raises available upon evaluationBenefitsFull-time employees are eligible for PTO, health insurance, and 401(k)No benefits are available for part-time positionsAbout STS Line MaintenanceSTS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States, offering quality and reliable aircraft line maintenance and servicing through an extensive rapid-response nationwide network.If you are ready to take the next step in your aviation maintenance career and lead line maintenance operations in Phoenix, Arizona, apply today.STS Line Maintenance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#IndeedAM
