Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician * Hourly pay: $35/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment A leading university is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support laboratory research focused on the purification and characterization of human biospecimen derivatives from biofluids, tissues, and tumors. This role contributes to clinical research studies involving COVID-19, cancer, and other disease areas while supporting experimental activities within BSL-2+ certified laboratory environments. Laboratory Technician Responsibilities: * Perform laboratory research activities involving the purification, processing, and characterization of human biospecimen derivatives from biofluids, tissues, and tumor samples. * Conduct experiments under established protocols and scientific guidance to support ongoing clinical research projects and translational studies. * Analyze experimental data, maintain detailed records of procedures and outcomes, and assist in the preparation and presentation of research findings. * Utilize laboratory databases, scientific software, and computer applications to support data collection, documentation, and research operations. * Collaborate with faculty investigators, laboratory leadership, and research staff to ensure accurate execution of experiments and adherence to laboratory standards and safety procedures. Laboratory Technician Qualifications: * 2+ years of research, laboratory, or related scientific experience. * A bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is preferred. * General understanding of scientific principles and the ability to apply laboratory knowledge and skills effectively. * Experience in maintaining accurate and detailed experimental records, research documentation, and laboratory data. * Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and utilize scientific software, databases, and laboratory applications. * Ability to work independently while following established protocols and collaborating effectively within a research team. * Experience working with biological samples, clinical research studies, or laboratory environments is preferred.
