Neurohospitalist needed for telehealth coverage in MA, VA, SC, CO, WY, NM, UT, MT, AZRecommended Experience: oMinimum of two years experience practicing as an Adult Neurohospitalist o Will also accept consider candidates that have two years Neurocritical care experience. This allows time for providers to gain experience as a practicing Neurology to be able to successfully practice virtually. oCandidates must be trained and willing to cover acute strokeEmployment Options:oFull time W2Shift Details:oShift Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a oMinimum Commitment: 7 shifts/month (days, nights, and weekends)oHoliday coverage:?Shared rotation within practiceoWill cover multiple facilities at a time, all dependent on volume.oOur physicians practice in a true Neurohospitalist model, where they can manage acute cases in the ED, offer continuity of care for their condition in the ICU or floor, and follow the patients until consultation is no longer required. They can also provide EEG interpretation, APP supervision for employed Neurology APPs, and outpatient tele neurology clinic coverage, depending on the program. Projected Volumes:oAverage Volumes: 10-12 acute consults per shift. oPaneled to average 1 acute consult/hour. oCan do 2 follow-ups an hour or hand off the follow-ups to the next team member. Procedures/Skills:oStroke/tPA (mostly stroke)oGeneral NeurologyoEEG reads (30-minute, 60-minute, and 24 hour readsoMay be some outpatient visitsocoverage will be tailored to skillset
