Estimator General Contracting Division Toro Construction CorpOrland Park, IL | Full-Time | Preconstruction DepartmentToro Construction Corp is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to support our growing General Contracting Division. This key team member will lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and thorough estimates for a variety of commercial and public works projects. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for public and private construction projects.Identify and evaluate project risks, including material, labor, and subcontractor costs.Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and maintain a strong database of reliable partners.Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and scope.Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents to ensure accurate transition from estimate to execution.Track industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive and realistic bids.37 years of estimating experience in general contracting or commercial construction.~ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.~ Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Excel, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.).~ Familiarity with union labor requirements and prevailing wage/public projects.~ Health Insurance (employee coverage partially paid by company)Paid Time Off and Paid HolidaysSales/bonus incentives may be offered based on volume awarded and performanceMonthly vehicle/fuel allowance (for site visits/pre-bid walkthroughs as needed)Toro Construction Corp is a family-owned, rapidly growing general contractor with deep roots in the Chicagoland construction industry.
