Solution Architect - 100% Remote
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a contract position with a leading pharmacy benefit manager client in MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position can work 100% remotely.Compensation: $80.00 - $83.00 per hour, W2Position Overview:This role will support a large-scale healthcare program, with a focus on delivering pragmatic, scalable, secure, and compliant solution architectures aligned to business priorities, enterprise standards, and delivery timelines. The Solution Architect will work across business, application, data, security, and infrastructure stakeholders to define end-to-end solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements. This contractor is expected to provide architecture leadership across multiple major initiatives in the client environment.Key Responsibilities:Own end-to-end solution architecture for assigned initiatives, from early requirements shaping through architecture approval and delivery alignmentLead the design of solution architectures that support current business objectives and future-state scalability, extensibility, and cross-functional integration needsTranslate business requirements into solution designs spanning applications, integrations, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, security, and operational considerationsEnsure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, platform strategies, security principles, and approved technology patternsDrive architecture decisions in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Engineering Leads, and Product/Business partnersSupport build-vs-buy, legacy modernization, SaaS/PaaS integration, and other architectural option analysis for complex initiativesDevelop reusable architecture artifacts, patterns, and recommendations that can be leveraged by future projectsAnticipate and address cross-cutting concerns such as performance, resiliency, observability, fault tolerance, security, maintainability, and scalabilityGuide teams through architecture trade-offs, technical risks, dependency management, and decision-makingPrimary Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field5+ years of solution architecture experience with service-oriented and application-centric solutions across applications, data, services, and API initiatives10+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years in software development or application architectureExperience designing a range of solution types, including new system builds, legacy modernization/enhancement, build-vs-buy analysis, COTS integrations, and SaaS/PaaS-enabled solutionsStrong experience in solution design patterns, architecture methods, and modern application/integration architecture approachesExperience with Agile Lean Architecture and the ability to operate effectively in iterative delivery environmentsCloud architecture with emphasis on AWS and GCPContainerization and orchestration, including Docker and KubernetesCI/CD and delivery enablement, including tools such as Jenkins and Git-based workflowsMicroservices and service decomposition strategiesEvent-driven architecture and mesh-style integration approachesAPI design and integration using REST, SOAP, and GraphQLEvent streaming and messaging platforms such as KafkaModern application development landscapes including Java, Angular, and ReactDesired Skills:Advanced degree preferredExperience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), healthcare, Medicaid, or other highly regulated domainsExperience supporting claims adjudication or other high-volume transactional healthcare platformsExperience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), or similar enterprise Agile delivery modelsExperience designing for large-scale, high-availability, high-throughput environments with complex dependencies and multiple integration pointsExperience in cloud transformation, modernization, and hybrid architecture environmentsFamiliarity with healthcare data exchange, integration-heavy ecosystems, and secure data-sharing patternsIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
