Production Pressroom Supervisor The Press Room Supervisor oversees the production processes of the Press Department and is responsible for achieving safety, quality and delivery objectives. As a valued member of our Leadership Team, our Press Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of our press department while maintaining established cycles and reducing scrap percentages. The Press Room Supervisor enjoys an engaging balance between supervising, performing set-ups and processing functions, and working as a member of our Leadership Team to implement corporate strategy. Duties/Responsibilities: Supports and performs all functions of the Press Operator/Die Setter. Must make sure that health & safety procedures and environment policies are followed, and company guidelines are implemented. Must ensure that the products produced meet quality requirements. Must ensure that the products are produced per the production schedule. Assist in managing processes and information through PLEX ERP software. Assist in tracking competencies of associates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. Establish and maintain a standard of performance for operational safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance targets. Work with Project Management on Optimization endeavors. Assist in conducting performance reviews for direct reports that are based upon quantifiable measurable results, and the company's vision and priorities. Help develop and track improvement in reduction of planned hours. Supports the Plant APQP processes where required. Assist the Management Team in the development and execution of a manufacturing plan to drive continuous improvement objectives. Report any injuries, accidents, equipment malfunctions, miss hits, property damage etc. to Manufacturing Manager. Train new employees as needed on all aspects of job. Review and follow standardized work instructions. Assist engineering with tool design and support new tool tryouts. Responsible to accurately report production, including proper logging into and out of Plex. Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required to maintain personal safety and a safe working environment. All associates are responsible for the objectives stated in the EMS Policy and Quality Policy, and meet the standards set forth by QMS Policy and Objectives through sound judgement and environmental responsibility. In addition, associates may be required to play active roles in the day-to-day operation of individual EMS programs, quality procedures and work instructions. Additional roles and responsibilities may be outlined in the training matrix, work instructions and procedures. Champions the Code of Honor, policies and procedures, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws. KPI Reporting set forth by Management Team, SPM, SMED (Set up times) and any others deemed appropriate. Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee the daily workflow of the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Uses ERP (plex) to monitor adjust and approve time clock records and manage time off management. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Performs other related duties as assigned. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED Minimum 10 years of experience manufacturing environment. Minimum 5 years management experience. Ability to read and interpret BOMs, blueprints and drawings. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
