Department Specialists/ Receiving ManagerThe primary responsibilities of Receiving Manager are to ensure the efficient flow, tracking, and accuracy of inventories, in and out of the store. This includes all deliveries and all related processes and paperwork. This gatekeeper role reviews all merchandise/products and ensures they are received, shipped, stocked and inventoried accurately in accordance with Company standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware.Helps to organize inbound and outbound trucks and meet their load accuracy and time requirementsReports any issues or storages to General Manager immediatelyUnload and load trucks in safe manner including operating equipment to unload and loadEstablish and maintain strict organization and cleanliness standards in receiving areaReceive and sort all merchandise shipmentResolves PO and vendor quantity issuesProcess returns of any defective or incorrect productsMay assist with other positions within the store when neededOther duties assigned by GMResponsible for cycle counting and maintaining desirable inventory level in assigned department(s).Work with management staff to ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed in order to maximize and protect all physical assets (i.e. building, fixtures and equipment).Ensure accurate receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise in assigned department(s).Responsible for maintenance of back stock levels in assigned department(s).Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area, especially in assigned department(s).Assist with overall maintenance of the store.Ensure that weekly price changes are done in assigned department(s).Ensure that monthly cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed in assigned department(s).Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor including end caps and ad merchandise.Assist with merchandise resets throughout store, especially in assigned department(s).Ensure signage is current in assigned department(s).Operate forklift with proper training.Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.Participate in store meetings.Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales ideas to General Manager.Be professional in appearance and actions.Perform all other duties as assigned.Other Essential RequirementsAbility to exhibit and incorporate our Core Values into daily decisions and interactions with others:SERVICE Amaze our customers, our associates and our communities by delivering on our helpful promise.PASSION Showing our love for the work we do, our customers, and our associates.RESPECT A humble appreciation that a diverse and inclusive workplace makes us a stronger and better company and that every person is unique and valued.INTEGRITY An authentic commitment to moral and ethical behavior.TEAMWORK Together we can achieve extraordinary things.EXCELLENCE A disciplined approach to achieve outstanding results through continuous improvement.Minimum Skills, Requirements and QualificationsHigh School or GED equivalent.Floor sales and/or replenishment experience in a retail environment preferred.Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.Compensation Details17.00-18.00 /hourEqual Opportunity Employer Ace Retail Group is committed to a policy of promoting equal employment opportunities.
