DescriptionDate posted: February 5, 2026Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hourJob DescriptionJob Title: Driver Orientation CoordinatorDepartment: Operations / Safety / Training Reports To: Operations ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptCompensation 20-24 per hourPosition SummaryThe Driver Orientation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating all aspects of new driver orientation and onboarding. This role ensures drivers are properly trained, compliant with DOT regulations and company policies, and fully equipped prior to release to operations. The Coordinator manages logistics, documentation, systems compliance, and driver readiness while serving as the primary point of contact for new drivers throughout the onboarding process.Key Responsibilities Orientation Logistics & CoordinationPlan and coordinate all driver onboarding/orientation sessions (in-person)Order and coordinate breakfast, lunch, and dinner for orientation classes as requiredPrepare orientation rooms, materials, schedules, and presentationsCreate driver name tags and prepare orientation packetsPrepare and distribute company merchandise for each driverEquipment & Technology PreparationPrep, configure, and distribute tablets for all drivers prior to orientationEnsure tablets are properly set up with required applications, credentials, and accessCoordinate equipment assignments with Operations and IT as neededCoordinate email to let all department know attendance of orientationCoordinate release of drivers with safetyTraining & Compliance ManagementAssure and communicate completion status of all required training modulesIdentify and communicate any trainings not completed in TenstreetCoordinate completion of outstanding training prior to driver releaseEnsure drivers meet all DOT, safety, and company compliance requirementsJob Title: Driver Orientation Coordinator Documentation & Systems ManagementPrepare driver contracts via paper and/or electronic formatsEnsure all contracts and onboarding documents are properly completed and executedUpload and maintain all required documentation in:TenstreetMcLeodVerify accuracy and completeness of all driver records before activationCross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with Safety, Operations, ShopCommunicate driver readiness status and outstanding requirementsCoordinate driver assignments, onboarding timelines, and system accessDriver Support & EngagementServe as the primary point of contact during the onboarding processProvide guidance on orientation schedules, expectations, and next stepsPromote a positive onboarding experience to support driver retentionReporting & Continuous ImprovementTrack orientation attendance, completion, and compliance metricsIdentify gaps in onboarding, training, or documentation processesAssist in updating orientation materials and procedures as neededQualifications RequiredOther Duties as assigned:High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in driver onboarding, transportation, logistics, safety, or trainingWorking knowledge of DOT compliance and driver qualification requirementsExperience using Tenstreet and McLeod or similar TMS/ATS platformsStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsJob Title: Driver Orientation CoordinatorAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferredExperience facilitating orientation or training sessionsFamiliarity with post-accident and drug & alcohol testing proceduresExperience onboarding CDL and non-CDL driversSkills & CompetenciesDetail-oriented with a strong compliance focusProfessional and approachable communication styleStrong coordination and time management skillsAbility to work independently and cross-functionallyProficient with technology, documentation systems, and reporting toolsNova Lines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
