Buyer, Temporary AssignmentOur client, a well-established manufacturing company in Roanoke, TX, is seeking an experienced Buyer for a temporary opportunity that may continue through the end of the year. This role requires buying experience for a manufacturing company, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced procurement environment.Job DetailsPay: $45.00 per hourSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, must be flexible, overtime is commonLocation: Roanoke, TXEmployment Type: Temporary, possible through the end of the yearResponsibilitiesReview approved requisitions and create purchase ordersManage the purchase order lifecycle from creation through closingWork with suppliers to obtain quotes and evaluate pricing, delivery schedules, and other key detailsMaintain communication with suppliers and internal teamsHelp resolve purchasing, receiving, invoicing, delivery, and quality-related concernsPerform purchase order history research to support discrepancy resolutionSupport internal teams with purchasing processes, supplier sourcing, and SAP requirementsUse SAP to manage purchasing activity and support procurement workflowsUse Excel to organize and analyze purchasing informationAssist with purchasing process improvements and best practicesManage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced procurement environmentQualificationsBuying experience for a manufacturing company is requiredStrong SAP experience requiredSAP S/4HANA experience preferredAdvanced Excel skills preferred, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPsExperience creating and managing purchase ordersAbility to evaluate supplier quotes and support purchasing decisionsStrong Microsoft Office skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teamsStrong sense of ownership, initiative, and problem-solving abilityBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferredWhy This RoleThis is a great opportunity for an SAP-savvy Buyer to support an established manufacturing operation in a key procurement role.
