Junior Process Engineer

Job description:Gas Cleaning Technologies LLC (GCT) is a process and environmental consulting engineering firm headquartered in Irving, Texas. GCT provides specialized process engineering and multi-disciplinary capabilities to the minerals, ferrous and non-ferrous metals industries. GCT is looking for a Junior Process Engineer meeting the following criteria: • MS or BS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering• Experience in construction and industrial design an asset• Experience with MS Office Suite and AutoCAD an asset • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling an asset• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipGCT serves clients across the globe from four locations; Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Vancouver, BC; and Singapore. This open position will be for the Dallas office. Job Purpose:  Works under the direction of a senior process engineer to conduct testing and evaluation of existing emissions control systems as well as developing process design for modifications and major industrial expansions. This includes developing MS Excel based process models, Computational Fluid Dynamic models, Fathom pressure profile models, process flow diagrams, and reports. Specific Duties:  Conduct site visits for ductwork and building ventilation surveysConduct site visits for inspection of ventilation systemsConduct research on alternate approaches, techniques and criteria for evaluation and design considerationPrepare MS Excel based calculations for process and ventilation designDevelop CFD modelsDevelop Fathom modelsPrepare process flow diagrams in AutoCADPrepare equipment listPrepare procurement specifications and datasheetsPrepare bid evaluation and recommendationsInteract with clients and vendorsDevelop charts and diagrams to help summarize/visualize test work and analysis resultsDevelop project reports and presentationsInteract with designers to develop sketches and drawingsDevelop cost estimatesWork as a member of a project team
