Director of MEP Engineering (Mechanical & Electrical) - Data Center ConstructionLocation: Dallas, TXWorking Structure: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on-site (Flexible with work life balance)Compensation: $180,000 – $210,000 Base + Uncapped Project Bonuses (70% of Base Comp + upside) + PackageWe have partnered with a Premier Southwest Real Estate Developer currently scaling to meet a massive surge in their data center portfolio. Backed by a multi-billion dollar institutional parent company, this firm operates with a lean, efficient team of 50+ people.They are at a significant growth point, currently delivering a flagship hyperscale site. They are seeking a singular Director of MEP Engineering to serve as the ultimate technical authority across both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.If you are a heavyweight MEP leader who has spent years in the team of Tier-1 engineering firms and can speak both Power and Cooling fluently, are ready to stop billing hours and start building equity across a $7B portfolio.?Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs the Director of MEP, you aren't in the weeds of CAD—you are the strategist ensuring technical excellence across the entire $7B portfolio:Design Orchestration: Lead and manage external Tier-1 engineering consultants, to ensure Basis of Design (BOD) alignment and technical integrity.Technical Authority: Serve as the Voice of Engineering in high-stakes meetings with Fortune 100 stakeholders, explaining the why behind site-specific technical decisions.Site Adaptation: Take prototype designs and strategically adapt them to specific site constraints, massive power requirements, and high-density cooling needs.Early Engagement: Own the technical vision from land entitlement through to project completion, evaluating power availability and infrastructure viability before the shovel even hits the dirt.Integrative Oversight: Fluently bridge the gap between Mechanical and Electrical trades, ensuring a unified system that meets aggressive hyperscale demands.What We Are Looking For?Experience: 8+ years in Mission Critical / Data Center design.Pedigree: A background in top-tier mission-critical firms is essential (Ideally a GC or Developer)Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringApproach: We need a strategic leader who can translate complex MEP constraints into clear, financial, and operational business decisions.Presence: You must be articulate, professional, and comfortable making pivot-point decisions in front of sophisticated clients.Location: Ideally Dallas-basedThis is a confidential search for a developer known for delivering iconic campuses for the world’s largest financial and tech institutions.
