As a Board Member, you will guide organizational strategy, oversee governance, help shape long-term plans, and advocate for individuals with vision loss. Responsibilities include attending meetings, participating in decision-making, supporting fundraising efforts, evaluating organizational performance, and representing the organization publicly to build community relationships. Monthly attendance of board meeting required.QualificationsLeadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skillsExpertise in governance and fundraisingStrong advocacy, public speaking, and networking abilitiesUnderstanding of financial oversight and resource allocationCommitment to the mission and values of Lighthouse Vision Loss Education CenterStrong communication and collaboration skillsExperience working with nonprofit organizations or service-oriented groups is a plusResidency or professional presence in Sarasota, FL is preferred
