The Associate in this role will work in Construction and General Industry settings. This person will visit multiple project sites, manage multiple clients, deliver training, incident investigation, etc.Overview of Job ResponsibilitiesProvide services to Construction and General Industry clients that include but are not limited to various types of safety training, site observations with reports, injury recordkeeping assistance, meeting attendance, and written safety program review and developmentPrepare and proofread written safety programs for General Industry and Construction clientsAssist clients during OSHA Compliance Inspections (accompany compliance officers, attend opening and closing meetings (if applicable), and assist clients in preparing and attending informal conferencesTravel to client locations as necessaryProvide flexibility in the schedule when providing services to clientsProvide coverage for other groups within SMGConduct training sessions at client's locations (job sites/offices/training facilities) or trade association's training locationsVerifies compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, or contractorAttends pre-construction planning and safety meetingsProvides incident management and supportKeep management appropriately informed of activitiesDocumentation and Report preparationRequirementsFive plus years of Construction or General Industry safety experienceExperience performing site safety audits/observationsExperience working with safety softwareExperience providing trainingAbility to coordinate and communicate with other staff membersDegree in safety or related fields preferredHave a professional and positive attitude to encourage safety compliance and awareness to all ClientsCHST or other BCSP certification preferredPhysical Demands of the job may includeMoving about long distancesAscending/Descending stairs and laddersRemaining in a stationary position for a prolonged periodWorking in extreme weatherBeing exposed to loud noisesWearing personal protective gear correctlyJoin an elite group of Safety Professionals!
