HR Data Analyst

One of Indy's top employers is seeking a motivated and analytical Data Analyst with HR experience to support reporting, workforce analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role will partner closely with Human Resources and business leaders to develop reports, dashboards, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has experience working with HR data, strong SQL skills, and expertise in Power BI.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BIWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate HR dataSupport recurring and ad hoc reporting requests related to workforce metricsAnalyze trends in headcount, turnover, recruiting, retention, attendance, compensation, and other HR KPIsPartner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and opportunities for process improvementEnsure data accuracy and integrity across HR reporting systemsRespond to employee and leadership requests related to HR reporting and analyticsAssist with HR data audits and compliance reportingCreate documentation for reports, dashboards, and reporting processesQualifications2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, HR Analyst, or HR Analytics roleStrong SQL experienceExperience building dashboards and reports in Power BIExperience working with HR or workforce-related dataStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsPreferred:Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday, UKG, ADP, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc.)Knowledge of HR metrics and workforce analytics best practicesExperience with data visualization and storytellingFamiliarity with data governance and reporting automationTechnical SkillsSQLPower BIExcelHR data analysisDashboard developmentData validation and reporting automationHRIS systems (preferred)
