JOB TITLE: Part-time Registered Nurse - West ValleyEMPLOYER: Twelfth One, LLC dba Aspen InfusionDEPARTMENT: NursingREPORTS TO: Field Nurse SupervisorSUMMARY: Provides skilled professional nursing services to a case load of patients in their place of residence in accordance with the patient's plan of care.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assesses patients prior to provision of care.Provides ongoing assessment of the patient and patient's equipment needs.Initiates timely discharges.Educates and instructs the patient, patient's family, or staff as required; counsels patient and family in meeting patient's needs and goals.Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of all care, interventions, and care coordination as provided by law, regulation, and established policy; returns documentation to the office/department according to established policy.Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to patient/family rights.Applies safety principles as identified by established policy.Participates in the orientation and training of new staff.Participates in care coordination meetings.Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.Ensures compliance with legal issues, including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulations.Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.Participate in the Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Must possess a current Arizona RN license.Must possess a current BLS certification.Minimum of one year related experience or equivalent; infusion nursing experience is preferred.Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.Proof of TB screening.Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.Strong charting/documentation skills.Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.Commitment to excellence and high standardsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAcute attention to detailAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesStrong interpersonal skills.Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsCreative, flexible, and innovative team playerBilingual skills are a plus.Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.COMPETENCIES:Customer Service-Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.Oral Communication-Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.Written Communication-Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.Teamwork-Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.Quality-Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Continually required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hearContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityOccasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlContinually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboardOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 poundsFrequent exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
