Our program has been serving Sunset Park since 1984.We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Teacher to support our infant and toddler class. This position involves working with children ranging from 0-6 years of age. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday with a typical shift of 9-5. Extended hours as neededWe are a 12-month program. Our school follows the DOE calendar for holidays and closures.Salary is based on experience and educational backgroundGeneral AccountabilitiesProvide a safe, nuturing environment while supporting children's social, emotional, cognitve and physical development.Follow routines for feeding, sleeping and diaperingEnsure constant supervisionCollaborate with Co-teacher and adminstrative staffComply with DOH and center policies and proceduresJob QualificationsHigh School DiplomaAssociate's Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferredCDA credential preferredMinimum of 2 years' experience in a childcare centerMust pass Criminal Background checkBilingual (Spanish) strongly preferredPunctuality and reliabilty required
