Quality Lab Tech

We are seeking a Lab Tech who will join a reputable personal care and beauty manufacturer in Virginia! This person will work closely with Manufacturing and customers to ensure all quality expectations are met or exceeded while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the In-Process Bulk Laboratories and supports continuous quality improvement across the facility. * This role is available on 2nd and 3rd shifts!!* Primary Responsibilities Test bulk and finished products. Prepare dye percent solution formulas to ensure accurate color specifications. Provide color specifications to Compounders for batch processing. Collect samples of bulk and finished goods and perform testing for pH, viscosity, odor, color, appearance, and clarity. Evaluate samples against established specifications. Issue Nonconformance Material Reports (NCMRs) for rejected samples and notify Customer Service, Purchasing, and customers as required. Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for bulk materials leaving the facility. Retest bulk materials as needed for color, odor, and appearance; update product status in AS400 accordingly. Document and communicate nonconformances to Customer Service and customers via NCMRs. Prepare NCMRs for non-conforming and expired raw materials. Maintain laboratory standards and retained samples. Enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and company policies. Maintain annual certification as a “Certified Nose” and “Certified Color Vision” technician through designated testing. Perform additional duties as assigned. Desired Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (open to new grads) or Diploma with experience!
