Throughout the internship, you’ll gain exposure to different areas of audit, collaborate with supervisors, managers, and partners, and receive regular mentorship and feedback.Internship ResponsibilitiesWork on a variety of client engagements across diverse industriesDevelop familiarity with pronouncements of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the AICPAGain exposure to multiple types of financial statement engagements provided by the firmPrepare audit fieldwork and keep supervisors informed of engagement statusTake responsibility for assigned segments of audits under supervisionCommunicate audit issues and findings with Supervisors, Managers, Senior Managers, and PartnersApply accounting and auditing concepts to client situations, including complex issuesInteract with clients to support audit team efficiencyAcquire a working knowledge of client businesses and industriesQualificationsCompletion of Intermediate Accounting I prior to the start of the internshipMinimum 3.0 overall GPA and 3.0 in accounting courseworkStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamLegally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
