In this key leadership role, you'll oversee month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting, cash management, audits, and internal controls while partnering with operations and leadership teams to support business growth. If you're passionate about building strong teams, improving processes, and turning financial data into actionable insights, we want to hear from you.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, develop, and hold the accounting team accountable for performance, accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, and cross-functional service.Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.Lead the month-end close process, including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and cash management activities.Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely preparation of financial reports.Perform Profit & Loss analysis, variance analysis, and other ad hoc financial analyses.Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and FP&A activities through accurate cost analysis and operational insights.Assist with monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost management initiatives.Ensure effective internal controls are established and maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.Serve as the primary contact for internal, external, and SOX audits.Coordinate and oversee corporate reporting requests, including support for tax preparation, quarterly filings, annual filings, and other corporate financial reporting requirements.Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance Leadership, and Site Leadership to provide accounting expertise, operational analysis, and financial information for planning and decision-making.CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentAccountability and ownershipStrong verbal and written communication skillsActive listening and interpersonal effectivenessCross-functional collaborationContinuous improvement mindsetAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingSound judgment and decision-makingAbility to present information clearly to employees, managers, leadership, and external stakeholdersAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationExcellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and accuracyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointRequired Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year university10+ years of progressive accounting experience5+ years of accounting leadership or managerial experiencePreferred Education And ExperienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation5+ years of accounting experience within a public company environment5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environmentOur Comprehensive Benefits Package IncludesFull medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance coveragePaid vacation and personal days401(k) retirement plan with company matchEmployee stock purchase programAnnual profit-sharing bonusTuition reimbursement to support your educational goalsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, manufacturing experience, proven leadership skills, and a passion for building processes, developing teams, and partnering with operations to drive business performance.
