As the Manager of CRJ Fleet Training, you have the chance to define our growing business by ensuring our incoming pilots receive the highest standard of training. In this position, you will oversee CRJ training which has over 150 CRJ instructors, working in four different locations, training 5000+ pilots annually. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with SkyWest Flight Operations leadership around the country. We would love to hear from you.The Manager of CRJ Fleet Training will manage all aspects of CRJ Training, including the following:Train safe and efficient pilotsReport to the Director TrainingInterface with the Director Training, Supervisor AQP, ERJ Fleet Training, CQ, CRM, Technical, Training Administration, Training CoordinationAssure compliance with company policy, pilot AQP, and FAR’sOversee Qualification and Continuing Qualification of CRJ instructors and pilotsSchedule and oversee CRJ instructor meetingsDirectly responsible for CRJ instructors and new hire pilotsCollaborate with chief pilot group to assure pilot performance meets required expectationsDevelop and maintain Qualification and Continuing Qualification training programs including syllabi, courseware, and other guidanceActive participant in company Safety Risk ManagementParticipating member of Flight Operations Data Analysis GroupRegularly attend industry meetings and conferencesProactively work on Training and Flight Operations projectsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Director TrainingMinimum RequirementsCurrently model SkyWest’s guiding principlesCRJ Type Rating or willing to obtain CRJ Type RatingMinimum two years and 500 hours CRJ or CRJ flight experience under FAR 121Willing to work full time in SLC or DENExperience training pilots within a structured training program (121, 135, 141)Recommendation by chief/managerHistory of high level of reliability, dependability, and accountabilityHighly organizedProficient in the use of Outlook email and calendarProficient in the use of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to have high stakes, crucial conversations with the FAA, managers, instructors, and pilots in a respectful and productive mannerPhysical And Other RequirementsAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Ability to lift 30-50 lbsThis is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position Please complete the online application.
