The goal is to provide competitive and detailed costs for bid packages. This is a remote position.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain estimating models, tools, and software.Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents.Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, and related documents.Calculate costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Present prepared estimates by compiling and displaying numerical and descriptive information in the cost‑calculation tool.Coordinate and review estimates with the management team to ensure accuracy and completeness.Respond to questions, provide clarifications, and offer updates based on proposal requirements.Maintain the active bid list.Assist in preparing studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and related cost estimates.Perform conceptual estimates for budgeting purposes for potential clients.Collaborate with the Operations department to identify the most advantageous solutions.Participate in pre‑bid meetings, bid strategy sessions, and presentation meetings as requested by the sales team.If the bid is awarded, assist the Operations department in evaluating the scope of work.Assist the Operations department in detailing work phases, labor hours, and production units.Conduct periodic reviews comparing estimated project costs with actual costs.Participate in site visits and travel as required.QualificationsAt least 5 years of extensive estimating experience, including the ability to estimate various types of projects/contracts.Advanced proficiency in ExcelFamiliarity with financial management and project management principlesProven experience in estimation within facilities services preferred.GDI, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#BU1
