Job Summary and Qualifications Under the direct supervision of the Director of Cardiopulmonary, the Supervisor of Respiratory Care provides supervision for all aspects of Respiratory Therapy Department and is responsible for shift operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department Is responsible for assisting the Director in ensuring that the Respiratory Department is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and current accepted medical practices in Cardiopulmonary medicine. Department responsibilities include but are not limited to; supervision of daily activities, promotion of staff and personal development, promotion of interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication, and to assist in other administrative and technical functions as required by the department needs. Abides by all rules, directives, policies, and procedures, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. The position is responsible for the care of patient ages: What qualifications you will need: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree in Arts or Science, or comparable work/education experience Completion of 2 Year AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy and must be Registered and maintaining a current Respiratory Care Practitioner “RRT” Certificate in accordance with Texas Department of Health. Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association for the healthcare provider; NRP, PALS and ACLS certifications required within 6 months of hire date. Should have 2-4years’ experience as a supervisor. Minimum of 5years’ experience in Cardiopulmonary Department.
