Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow unit in Alabama, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and experience with high-acuity patients and cardiac drips.Job Details• Medical Surgical overflow and telemetry unit in a hospital setting,• High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 or 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio,• Proficiency required with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone,• Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, with 3x12 or 4x12 hours available based on traveler preference,• Every other weekend (EOW) required,• Block booking available,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active Alabama (AL) or compact RN license, in good standing,• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,• Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients,• Experience with cardiac drip administration (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone) required,• Two professional references required for consideration,• Must provide a copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration,• COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file,• Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top,• Orientations are held every other Monday,
